In June, Valley Plains Equipment was at Lakes Area Tech in Watertown, South Dakota with students for TK Diesel Camp. This camp gives future John Deere service technicians hands-on experience
Real tools. Real tech. Real opportunity. Right from the start, that’s precisely what students found at this summer’s TechKnowledge One Day Camp, hosted at Lake Area Technical College (LATC) in Watertown, South Dakota, on 6/25/25 and 7/23/25.  This action-packed event delivered an up-close experience in the exciting world of diesel technology.

Lake Area Tech partners with Brandt Holdings Company in a cooperative, two-year, dealer-sponsored program called TechKnowledge

TK Diesel Camp isn’t just about turning bolts—it’s about turning potential into purpose. We believe in growing the next generation of skilled John Deere service technicians, and that starts by giving students hands-on experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and career goals. From learning diagnostics to tackling real-world repairs, TK Diesel Camp introduces young minds to a career path that keeps our communities running—literally!

When we invest in future technologies, we’re not just preparing them for a job; we’re powering agriculture for generations to come!
